About Hilary

Hilary Kustoff is a fourth-generation Bexar County lawyer. That’s not a marketing line — it means she grew up around San Antonio courts and lawyers the way most people grow up around family professions. The Cadena-Reeves Justice Center, the Bexar County DA’s office, the way criminal cases move through that system — these are things she understood before law school.

She earned her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. Before joining The Hull Firm, Hilary practiced on both sides of the courtroom — as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney — building a clear and practical understanding of how criminal cases are built by the state and where they’re most vulnerable to a defense challenge.

She has handled hundreds of cases involving assault, family violence, and other serious offenses in Bexar County courts. That volume of experience at the intersection of assault law and the Bexar County system — not generic criminal defense, but specifically these charge types in these courts — is what makes her the right attorney for clients facing those charges in San Antonio.

Her approach is straightforward: preparation wins cases, and every client deserves a defense built on both strategy and honesty. She treats clients with respect, communicates clearly about where their case stands, and shows up to every hearing prepared.
